Sales on the market declined in Britain in February


In February 2020, British motors purchased 79,594 new cars, 2.9% less than a year ago. This is reported by the British Society of Automobile Manufacturers and Car Dealers (SMMT). A total of 228,873 units of new light-weight cars were bought in the UK in January-February 2020. This is 5.8% less than in the first two months of 2019. According to SMMT, the first place on the UK market in February was taken by Volkswagen. In a month dealers of the car company sold 8948 cars, which is 12.4% more than last year's sales. The second place was placed Ford. Cars of this brand in February purchased 8,462 British motors. There is a 18.6% drop in sales here. The three leaders are closed by the brand BMW 6652 sold cars (-3.1%). The fourth and fifth places respectively were the cars of the car companies Mercedes-Benz (5745 units) and Vauxhall (5132 units). Recall, according to the British Society of Car Manufacturers and Car Dealers (SMMT), 1.3 million cars were produced in the UK in 2019, which is 14.2% less than in 2018.
