Scientists found out the temperature necessary for coronavirus death


The coronavirus SARS- CoV -2 will die completely within 15 minutes at 92 C, a conclusion reached by French scientists at the University of Provence. They published the results of their research in the Electronic Scientific Library of bioRxiv. During the experiments, scientists heated the coronavirus to 60 C for an hour, after which they found that some of its strains were still able to reproduce. It was only after heating to 92 degrees for 15 minutes that the coronavirus was completely deactivated. Researchers believe that the results of their work will contribute to the determination of a suitable protocol for decontamination of the virus to prevent the threat of contamination of medical personnel directly working with samples.
