Special flight from India took 190 Iranians home

A group of Iranian citizens stranded in India during the coronavirus outbreak flew from New Delhi to Tehran on April 17. This was reported by Iranian agency Mehr News. Morteza Dehgan, vice president for aviation and international affairs at the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO), said Iran Air made its eighth emergency flight to bring back home 190 Iranian passengers stranded in India due to the coronavirus pandemic, also known as COVID-19. He noted that humanitarian aid packages provided by Iranian nationals living in India were also on board the aircraft. Iran has held numerous talks and consultations with other countries in an effort to bring home its citizens, who have been stranded in different parts of the world after localizing the coronavirus. The issue of the return of Iranian citizens from Italy and the Netherlands is currently under consideration.
