In Mexico, young people forcibly forced citizens to self-isolate


In the Mexican state of Morelos, police detained a group of young people who tried to force residents not to leave their homes, explaining the need to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. This is reported by El Universal on May 7. According to police in Cuautla, where 12 self-styled supervisors were detained, aggressive youths harassed and beat those locals who they believed violated the so-called self-isolation regime. How many people have been affected by their illegal actions is not reported. Recall that the official ban on leaving their homes in Mexico was not imposed by the authorities only limited to urgent recommendations to go outside only if absolutely necessary. According to the news agency, the number of detected cases of coronavirus SARS-CoV -2 in Mexico increased by 1,609 in a day to 27,634. The number of deaths from COVID-19 complications also increased by 197, reaching 2704.
