17,524 coronavirus-infected individuals identified in Azerbaijan


The total number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Azerbaijan amounted to 17,524 after it was established in 556 people per day, the operational headquarters under the government of the country reports on June 30. It is indicated that since the beginning of the pandemic, 213 patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have died. 9715 people were recognized as cured, 7,596 patients remain in hospitals. The headquarters notes that in total over 482 thousand tests for coronavirus were carried out in the country. According to the news agency, the World Health Organization (WHO) on March 11 of this year officially recognized the outbreak of coronavirus infection as a pandemic.
