Indonesian Foreign Ministry provided humanitarian assistance to fellow citizens abroad


The Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs distributed 481,858 packages of humanitarian aid to citizens of the country who were most affected by the pandemic abroad, Kompas reports. The most affected Indonesian citizens abroad are migrant workers who do not have permanent employers, said Judha Nugraha, head of the Indonesian Foreign Ministry's department for the protection of citizens and legal entities. According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also cooperating with the relevant ministries and departments of the country to ensure the implementation of the sanitary protocol for returning Indonesian citizens in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
