Unsuccessful strategy? In Sweden, the number of insolvcies has increased

Despite the strategy of the government of Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Leuven to refuse to introduce a quarantine regime for a while to stop the spread of coronavirus, the country's economy does not look so good against the background of neighboring countries, to the contrary, Sweden has the highest percentage of bankruptcy in the private sector compared to Norway and Denmark. This was reported on July 10 by the newspaper Fria Tider. It is no secret that Sweden decided to go its own way during the coronavirus pandemic. Neighboring countries decided not to risk it and followed a common example by imposing strict quarantine restrictions. Perhaps the only explanation for the actions of the Swedish authorities is their desire to save the economy from a lockdown and a catastrophic fall. However, statistics provided by Bisnode indicate that the special Swedish path stands out as the most unsuccessful compared to neighboring countries, if you look at the number of rescued firms and enterprises that have so far managed to survive the economic crisis caused by the pandemic. So, in the first half of 2020, the number of insolvcies in Sweden increased by 16% compared to the same period last year. In Norway, this figure was just under 2%, and in Denmark the number of bankrupt businesses decreased altogether.
