In Montenegro, a car drove into a crowd of oppositionists celebrating victory


Several people were injured as a result of the driver of a car entering a crowd of people celebrating the victory of the opposition in the parliamentary elections in Montenegro. This was announced on August 31 by the country's national television RTCG. The accident occurred in one of the squares of the city of Niksic, which is the second city after Podgorica in terms of population in the country. A BMW car crashed into a crowd of opposition supporters who had previously announced their victory in the parliamentary elections. People at the time of the accident were walking around the city with flags, singing songs. As a result of the accident, several people were injured, one of them was seriously injured. The police began an investigation into the circumstances of the incident. The version of a deliberate hit on citizens is not excluded. Recall that parliamentary elections were held in Montenegro on August 30. According to the preliminary results of the vote, the opposition coalition For the Future of Montenegro proclaimed its victory. The president of the country and the head of the ruling Democratic Party of Socialists, Milo Djukanovic, refused to admit defeat and called for waiting for the official results of the vote.
