The Government of Ukraine has agreed on the candidacy of a new governor

The Government of Ukraine agreed to appoint businessman Valery Mishchenko to the post of head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration. The corresponding decision was made at a meeting today, August 5, the correspondent of the news agency reports. Mishchenko, in turn, said that he intends to first of all deal with financial flows where they go and how effectively they are used. Also during the discussion, it was reported that the future governor has been growing crops in the Kirovograd and Chernihiv regions since 2001. Mishchenko, in turn, noted that when moving to the public service, he would transfer his business to his son so that there was no conflict of interest. the news agency recalls that earlier the post of head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration was held by Andrei Balon, who in June was accused by the security forces of extorting 1.8 million hryvnias. On June 26, President Zelensky dismissed Balon.
