Kosovo and Serbia agree on the fate of missing persons

Serbian President Alexander Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Avdulla Hoti met in Brussels on September 7, mediated by the EU Special Representative for Dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo Miroslav Lajčak. According to the Albanian news agency Telegrafi, at a new round of negotiations, the parties achieved fundamental harmonization of positions on the fate of missing and displaced persons. Serbian President Alexander Vucic told reporters after the meeting that two new topics were raised during the meeting, including the creation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities with executive powers in Kosovo and the issue of material compensation. Negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia at the level of heads of delegation will continue on September 17, and a new high-level meeting will be held on September 28 in Brussels. Recall, on September 4, with the mediation of US President Donald Trump, two bilateral agreements were signed in the White House with Kosovo and the United States with Serbia on the normalization of economic relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
