More than 90 dolphins saved ashore in Australia

In Australia, at least 94 black dolphins were saved, which were thrown into shallow water off the west coast of Tasmania. This was reported on September 25 by the Financial Times. According to Parks and Wildlife Officer Chris Carlyon, this is a record number of dolphins rushing ashore. Now experts are establishing the reason for this. According to researcher Olaf Mainecke, a chain reaction is possible when one sick leader is confused and sails into a shallow bay, carrying other whales with him. Earlier, the news agency reported on the arrest of the captain of the Japanese cargo ship MV Wakashio, which ran aground off the coast of Mauritius on July 25. Later, on August 6, oil products leaked from the vessel, and about 40 dead dolphins were found near the coastline. The authorities of Mauritius declared an environmental emergency.
