Residents of Russia called the main events of August
Residents of Russia named the most remembered events in August 2020. In the first place are mass protests in Belarus after the presidential election (33%), the Levada Center cites data. In second place is coronavirus and the invention of the vaccine (11% and 4%, respectively), in the third protest marches of residents of the Khabarovsk Territory (8%), as well as the poisoning of Alexei Navalny (8%). Fewer citizens worried about the case of Mikhail Efremov (3%) and the explosion in the port of Beirut (3%). It is noteworthy that 14% could not name the events remembered in August, 16% found it difficult to give an answer. The survey was conducted on August 20 26, 2020. 1,601 people over 18 years old in 50 constituent entities of the Russian Federation were interviewed. According to the news agency, the head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that the presidential election in Belarus (August 9, 2020) is legitimate.
